Ask for the whole mountain.

Three stone houses and the ground between them, held for one wedding or gathering at a time. There is no events package: tell us the date and what you have in mind, and we will tell you what is possible.

What a private hire means, and what it does not.

A private hire is the same three houses and grounds as any stay, held for you alone rather than shared with other guests. Nothing else changes about how the property works.

  • The whole propertyLa Grande, La Grotta and Gemelli, the terrace and the fire pit. No other guests booked alongside you.
  • Sleeps up to six overnightTwo in each house. Everyone else attending comes for the day.
  • No events teamNo coordinator and no day-of staff. You or someone you bring runs the day.
  • No cateringSelf-catering, the same as any stay. Bring in a caterer or cook yourselves: Douma eats well, ten minutes down.
  • No furniture, sound or décor hireChairs, a sound system, flowers: arrange them with a supplier before you arrive.
  • No celebrant arranged for youBring your own, religious or civil.
  • Guests may grill outdoorsOn their own equipment, on the same terms as any stay (see the terms). The stone-pit bonfire is lit by us only.

Optional, but it is the fastest way to sort out details.
Everyone else, coming for the ceremony or gathering only. Leave blank if it is just the people staying over.
What you are planning, and anything that matters to it.

This starts a conversation, not a confirmed booking. We reply with what is possible before anything is agreed.

What happens next

We read it, and reply about what is possible for your dates (the property itself, not a package). If it fits, we work out the arrangements directly: the houses, the timing, what you are bringing in, and the cost.

Bringing in your own

Cap de Douma provides the place, not the day. Caterer, celebrant, florist, photographer, furniture: all arranged by you, the way you would for a house rented for the week.

Asked before every private hire.

Yes, as a private hire of the whole property for the ceremony and the gathering around it. We provide the place; you bring your own celebrant and handle the legal or religious side of it yourselves.

Up to six overnight, two in each house. For the day itself tell us the number you have in mind and we will tell you what the grounds can hold.

No. A private hire is self-catering, the same as any stay. Bring in your own caterer, furniture and sound, or arrange them with a supplier before you arrive.

No. A private hire is worked out directly with us once we know your date and what you are planning. Send an enquiry and we will tell you what is possible.

It is decided with your dates, the same as the rest of the enquiry. Ask and we will tell you.

Yes. Bring whoever you are already working with. We have no arrangement with any supplier and take nothing from recommending one.

Yes. The renovation made the property step-free: paved roads and paved ground between the houses, the terrace and the parking, with no cut rock, gravel or steps. Tell us who is coming and we will confirm anything specific you need.
